Should/Should Nots

I really should be going to bed right now.

I really should not be scheming up ways to make the car's trunk as creepy as possible for the church's parking lot trick-or-treating.
(Skeleton gets to come out and play...the poor thing hadn't been unpacked since Ship.)

I really should be rehearsing Habanera.

I really should not be applying to another RP.

I really should stop screaming at people who piss me off in Gaelic. (But what's the fun in that?)

I really should not be looking at Merchantes corsets up for auction... (But they're pretty! And shiny!)

I really should not be spamming with a meme stolen from [info]axelia

Sing Alongs & Corruption

Well, RPing is going quite well & taking up a lot of my extra time. Sleep is still a rarity, but I'm going to the Dr's soon enough (the 14th). I like the girl's I'm RPing with...yesterday when it was quiet in the chat room I started singing Little Plastic Castle by Ani DiFranco & one of the other girls joined in & we had a nice little typed sing-along alternating lines. It was amusing. We've also done La Vie Boheme, Defying Gravity, 32 Flavours & The Elephant Love Medley

So today I went to the covenstead and was watching the groupie. I started off by doing the Treasure Hunters weekly puzzle with Buzz while the groupie watched & tried (quite annoyingly) to help. It's turning out to be v. hard not to corrupt the kid. I'm not the best at keeping my temper or watching my language. When Buzz and I were playing the puzzle I said something along the lines of:
Me: If i could just figure out a way to cheat this.
Groupie: Cheating is bad!
Me: Only if you get...er...yes. Cheating is very bad. Cheating bad, good girl!
Groupie: Yep, cheating is bad!
Me: *nodding & trying to look conviincing*
Of course, I was thisclose to saying 'Only if you get caught' but luckily I stopped myself. I looked at Buzz who was grinning ear-to-ear & trying not to laugh because she knew exactly what I was going to say.

After we beat that puzzle, which took awhile, I took the kid down to the sewing room because she wants to learn to play the piano (mainly because I do) I taught her a simple scale and she was thrilled. I just wish I could find somebody to help teach me more than just the basics I know. One can only go so far with self-teaching.

Also, I'm doing an audition again for Lady Macbeth, I'll let all my friends know if I get it. (Again, I note.) Melanie, a friend who works with Buzz has invited to take me to the Renn Faire in August. Do I want to go? Are you bloody kidding? Of course I want to go! (And who can say no to discounted to $10.00 Renn Faire tickets?) Also in randomness, I have this urge to do some embroidery or cross-stich or something needlework-y but don't have anything to work on, sadly. Well, tis all for now.

(no subject)

This is what happens when one of my lovely Scottish cousins reads my journal and decides to fix my insomnia...by calling me up at 3:00 am and singing me an old ballad. Not sleep, oh no...a Luna/Ginny fic.

It's 1:30 am and Insomnia Strikes Again! (4th of July Entry)

Stupid bloody insomnia...*growl* I know I don't sleep much, but damn it, some would be nice! I'm thisclose to trying to go to the evil Drs. to get something so I can sleep like a semi-normal person, but my hatred of Drs. is stopping me.

All in all, the 4th was nice. Ate yummy hamburgers and graham cracker pie with family while watching the craziness that is Passions because Buzz can't eat without the blessed TV on in the next room. Of course, it confuses the hell out of Da who has never seen this before.
Da: Is this a soap opera or what?
Buzz: Yeah.
Da: it's a bit off isn't it?
Me: Yup. It's mental.
Granny: They had two crazy women in a Christmas ornament once.
Da: Uh huh
And then I had to quote my favourite line ever, stupidly.
Me: Once, Tabitha, the blond lady there, was leaving her daughter with those people, there, and she had the greatest line. "Don't forget to read her her Harry Potter before bedtime! She just loves that Lord Voldemort."
*silence* Then...the fury that is the extended family begins the infamous and many times gone over 'Harry Potter debate.'
Me: *headdesk* *headdesk* *headdesk* and a *facepalm* for good measure.
You'd think I'd know by now that when the big extended family is over to not bring up medicine, science, Council-crap, anime, or Harry Potter. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid Calypso!

Once the famil left, still squabbling, Da returned to the work he was doing on Granny's front portico-thing. When they had finished, it was 6:00 abnd I popped out of Buzz's computer room to see what the remaining v. close family was doing and ended up staying to watch reruns (obviously) of Green Acres and The Munsters we then had dinner, burned brain cells watching game shows and then Da set off the (sadly all legal) fireworks that we had bought. It was fun, all in all. Just as we finish and leave the Covenstead the sky opens up and it's all thunder and lightining. (Truly wicked) It was nice of Mama Nature to wait for us to finish.
And now? Insomnia. I'm going to go check my RPing journal now...see if anyone new has joined or the Mods have announced anything. maybe that will put me to sleep.
